| Executive Director
Linda Onorevole has served as a New Jersey arts administrator for fourteen years. Prior to her position at NJYS, she was the Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Jersey City Museum from 2002-2006. From 1998-2002, Ms. Onorevole was the Assistant Executive Director at New Jersey Chamber Music Society, where she coordinated a successful multi-district instrumental music education program.
Ms Onorevole has served on the board of the New Jersey Association of Museums [NJAM], coordinated their membership initiatives, and co-organized their 2005 Annual Meeting. In 2005-2006, she served as Chairperson of Jersey Arts Marketers [JAM] North, an initiative coordinated by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and facilitated the "Marketing to An Ethnically Diverse Audience" peer panel at JAM's Annual Media Roundtable event for three years. In June 2005, Ms. Onorevole was presented with a “Woman of the Year Award” by Museo dell'Emigrazione Italiana (Museum of Italian Immigration) in Jersey City, for being "an Italian-American who made a significant contribution to Hudson County and to the Italian American Community at large."
Ms. Onorevole earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Montclair State University, where she also earned credits towards a Master of Arts degree in Vocal Performance. She is a lyric soprano who has studied with countertenor Jeffrey Gall and tenor James Wilson. She was on the vocal faculty from 1998-2005 at the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts in Westfield, NJ and currently teaches privately. |
