Conductor
Kristi Gaspari is the conductor of the NJYS Orchestra String Training Ensemble [OSTE]. She is a dynamic violinist who has performed with the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra, Monmouth Symphony, Rutgers Sinfonia, and as concertmaster for The College of New Jersey Orchestra. Ms. Gaspari currently serves as Orchestra Director for middle and high school students with the Edison Township Public Schools in Edison (NJ) where she teaches string lessons and directs the middle and high school orchestras. She previously served as the Orchestra Director at Lincoln, Ben Franklin, and Woodbrook Elementary Schools in Edison Township, and delivered violin, viola and cello lessons to students in grades 3-5. She also led taught sixth through eighth grade string classes at Reynolds and Crockett Middle Schools in Hamilton Township (NJ). Ms. Gaspari is a graduate of The College of New Jersey with a B.A. in Music with an Instrumental Concentration in violin, and is currently pursuing her Master of Music Education at the Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University). Ms. Gaspari is a member of the New Jersey Education Association, American String Teachers Association, and the National Association for Music Education.
